DescriptionSummary:Provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff and ensures patient safety and well-being.Responsibilities:--- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.--- Answering patient calls and helping patients with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.--- Feeding patients, measuring and recording their food and liquid intake.--- Monitoring and documenting patients' temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs and reporting changes to nurses or doctors.--- Assisting nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds.Requirements:Experience:Experience in a hospital setting preferred.Education:High School Diploma or equivalent preferredAll newly hired Nursing Support Staff may be required to attend a facility-specific clinical orientation within the first 30 days of hire.New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and initial on-boarding requirements are validated through successful completion of the designated organizational entry competency validation and a Critical Care Department-specific competency validation.Completion of all annual competency verification requirements.Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.Work Schedule:5 Days - 8 HoursWork Type:Full TimeEEO is the law - click below for more information:https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/2023-06/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12ScreenRdr.pdfWe endeavor to make this site accessible to any and all users.
