Company DescriptionJob Description If you're looking for an
exciting new challenge, consider our Business Development
Representative opportunity with Ingram Logistics Services, a growth
and expansion venture from the strong book of services already
offered at Ingram Marine Group. As a Business Development
Representative, you will grow International third-party Logistics
services by securing new profitable and sustainable customers. You
will generate revenue and drive new business by managing sales
meetings, presenting recommendations for supply chain improvements,
and closing sales. We are looking for aself-driven,
results-orientated individual with a positive outlook and clear
focus on high quality and business profitability. Your focus will
be on Bulk, Breakbulk, Containerized and LCL Ocean freight as well
as air freight. What you'll be doing:
- Prospecting, planning, and conducting face-to-face visits with
new prospective customers focusing on our strengths on Ocean and
Air services
- Partnering with customers to gather information on their needs
and offer tailored solutions within the Ingram Logistics suite of
services
- Lead cross functional collaboration with International Ocean,
Air, Compliance and Trucking, Barge and Terminaling teams to
develop tailored solutions for customers
- Ensuring alignment with corporate strategies in forecasting,
business planning, and pipeline development
- Tracking and reporting Pipeline health and maintenance
utilizing CRM and Pipeline reports
- Foster Global expansion via the existing Ingram agent network
and pursue new agent partners that align within Ingram's strategic
global trade lane development initiatives Qualifications Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities
- A minimum of three years commercial experience with a global
third-party logistics provider.
- A Minimum of three years commercial and/or operational
experience with a global third-party bulk/breakbulk logistics
provider (preferred).
- Daily local/regional travel required.
- Overnight travel required (25%)
- Advanced knowledge of logistical concepts and supply chain
terminology.
- Advanced Operational and Commercial knowledge of Bulk,
Breakbulk, Containerized and LCL Ocean Freight.
- Intermediate Operational and Commercial knowledge of Air
freight
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
with strong attention to detail.
- Strong ability to persuade, motivate, and influence
others.
- Develop and maintain strong inter-company relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
